*The event has already taken place on this date: Sat, 07/22/2023
Milkweed is a critically important food source for Monarch Butterflies. In this program, you’ll learn about Monarchs’ conservation challenges and how you can help by planting milkweed. We will also discuss the Monarch Larva Monitoring Project, which is a long term study of the distribution, breeding, and mortality rates of monarch butterflies as they have gone in steep decline. This community science project engages people in observing and studying the milkweed habitat including identifying all life stages of the Monarch butterfly in the field. Free. Space limited, registration required.
