City Theatre’s EQT Young Playwrights Festival stages professional productions of six winning, one-act plays written by middle and high school playwrights from Pennsylvania, chosen from nearly 400 Young Playwrights Contest submissions.

City Theatre’s EQT Young Playwrights Festival stages professional productions of six winning, one-act plays written by middle and high school playwrights from Southwestern Pennsylvania, chosen from nearly 400 Young Playwrights Contest submissions.
Directed by Monteze Freeland, the plays will be performed in two programs with an ensemble cast and professional design team. Weekend performances (open to the public) will be October 20 and 21 at 1pm and 6pm. Tickets are on sale now; $10 for ages 18 and under, $15 for adults. The festival will also feature student matinees from October 16-26. An Honorable Mention Public Reading of 4 plays will take place at 2pm on Saturday, October 27.
