Blueberries are one of the few fruits that are native to North America. The interest of growing blueberries in home gardens began over a century ago and has increased rapidly ever since.

Homegrown blueberries are far more flavorful and healthier than the ones that you buy at your local grocery store. Blueberries are packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and can be consumed in many ways by eating them fresh to jellies and juices, or as dessert fillings for delicious home-baked treats.

This class will cover the best growing techniques from planting to harvest and discuss the fruit’s nutritional value. Jarmila will share some fun recipes to take full advantage of this season’s blueberry harvest!
