On the fictional Isla Nublar off the Pacific Coast, billionaire philanthropist John Hammond has hired a team of scientists to create a wildlife park full of de-extinct dinosaurs. Hammond invites his family to visit the island, but when a park employee attempts to steal the prized dinosaur embryos, security malfunctions lead to chaos in the park and what was a thrilling vacation becomes a race for survival.
