Meadowcroft's Fall Finale and Taffy Pull
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email firstname.lastname@example.org so we can update it immediately.
Fall activities abound on our last Saturday of the season! Visit our 19th century village to see an ongoing open hearth cooking demonstration in a historic log house, listen to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Raven" read by our schoolmaster in a one-room schoolhouse, play period games, visit the blacksmith and, for an additional fee, participate in the centuries old tradition of pulling taffy for a sweet treat to take home. Also, explore how Native Americans and early settlers prepared for the long winter to come at our 16th century Monongahela Village and 18th century Frontier. General admission includes access to all three villages plus tours of the Meadowcroft Rockshelter, the oldest site of human habitation in North America. Adults are $15, Seniors (62+) $14, students with a valid ID are $7, and all youth aged 17 and under are FREE thanks to our sponsors Washington Financial and Alex E. Paris Contracting. Taffy pull participation is $5 per person.
