Summer Theater Camps

Creative Fun! Our 5-day camps provide hands-on experience in a real theater. Under the guidance of theater professionals, each group creates, writes, produces, and performs their show on the last day of camp.

We are currently keeping registrations open for our Summer Theater Camp program!  During their camp week, students will collaborate to create, write, and perform an original show on their last day of camp.  With the assistance of their teachers, they will make props and draw scenery to be projected during their show.  Some camp weeks where kids stay all day will create two separate performances.  Details on camp session on our website.

Teen Workshop Camp is a two-week program with a final evening performance at the end of the two weeks.  This camp focuses on playwriting and story development through group activities the first week and rehearsals, design, and technical elements being the main focus of the second week.  This camp is great for any teen new to theater, wants to experience theater in a new and unique way, or someone who loves to write.

We normally allow a maximum of 18 campers in a camp group (with some weeks having up to 23 when allowed).  For Summer 2020, we will be closing camp enrollments at 12 campers so with our teaching staff and interns, the group size will never be above 16-18 people in the camp space.  If the state and county make updates to group size restrictions (higher or lower), we will address any changes as soon as possible.  These changes may include moving campers to another camp week or cancelling a camp week altogether.

We understand there is uncertainty for so many regarding summer activities for children and teens. We are extending our early registration discount though the summer. We are recommending families to register choosing the "Payment Plan/Check Payment" option which only requires a $50 deposit at submission. This guarantees a spot in camp without worrying about a full payment at this time. Applying for tuition assistance will remain an option for all families, even as camp weeks draw closer.

In the event that we are unable to run camp weeks, your deposit will be handled as directed on your registration form. Families who have paid tuition in full will be contacted to handle refund options, if the need arises. It is our hope that we will all see positive changes in regard to work, school, and home life sooner than later. We are excited to be a bright spot in your child's summer after this unusual, but necessary, time spent at home. Thank you for supporting our theater through our camp program!
