Celebrate the MoonTree on Arbor Day

The Allegheny Observatory, in conjunction with Riverview Park, is hosting a celebration for the MoonTree. This Sweetgum grew from a seed that flew around the Moon. There will be many activities and demonstrations in the fields of Forestry, Conservation, Ecology, Space Flight, Physics and Astronomy. There will be live music and food trucks as well.

Riverview Park and the Allegheny Observatory received the MoonTree in October and are celebrating it for Arbor Day.  Many groups are volunteering to bring activities and demonstrations for children and their families.
