Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Online Homeschool Program: Write and Draw like an Outlaw: Shel Silverstein Style

*The event has already taken place on this date: Wed, 04/14/2021
Offered twice a month, Homeschool Days provide interactive, engaging educational programs based on themes relevant to our one-of-a-kind collection. All programs are led by a Museum educator who facilitates a unique experience designed specifically for homeschool students.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately.

Join a Museum educator to explore the exhibit Outlaws and Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s and learn more about Shel Silverstein, who wrote children’s books as well as Outlaw country songs. Learn to write a Silverstein-style poem inspired by his whimsical writing and draw an illustration along with visual artist Britt McDermott.

Advance registration required. Family fees are waived for Museum members with a family-level membership. Programs are currently provided virtually on Field Trip Zoom. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen. Recommended for ages eight and up, but all are welcome.
