Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King in the Charles “Teenie” Harris Archive - Carnegie Museum of Art
Gather in community with a curated selection of Charles “Teenie” Harris’s photographs that connect the nonviolent direct action and social justice work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to national civil rights movements, public school education, neighborhood organizing for racial and economic justice, and family and church gatherings. We will share observations and reflections from what we see in Harris’s photographs and explore how Dr. King’s work continues to be transformative today.
