It’s Okay to Be Different, based on the classic stories of bestselling author Todd Parr, explores important and timely subjects with his signature blend of playfulness and sensitivity. Join us for three stories full of color, wonder and fun as Mermaid Theater of Nova Scotia blends innovative puppetry techniques with playful original music to demonstrate how to be kind to others, the world around us, and ourselves!
It's Okay to Be Different is presented as part of the 37th annual EQT Children's Theater Festival, coming to downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District May 19-21, 2023! Featuring eight extraordinary shows from around the world – including artists from France, Australia, Madagascar, and more! – there’s something for everyone in this dancing, splashing, hiccuping, exciting three-day celebration of fantastic youth theater.
