Step up, take aim, and channel your inner prehistoric hunter at Meadowcroft’s Atlatl Competition! Long before the bow and arrow, people relied on the atlatl — a spear-throwing tool that adds power, speed, and accuracy to every throw.
Whether you’re a first-timer or a returning pro, you’ll have the chance to launch spears at oversized targets and compete for bragging rights in this fun, all-ages challenge.
Throughout the day, expert throwers from the World Atlatl Association will be on site showing off their skills that you won’t want to miss it.
Admission
Access to the Atlatl Competition is included with Meadowcroft admission. This fun and educational program is appropriate for all ages. Advance registration is encouraged, but tickets will also be sold at the admissions desk in the Barensfeld Center.
