Pysanky: Ukrainian Easter Eggs

Pysanky eggs are a tradition in Eastern Europe. This batik method of applying layers of beeswax and dye to the eggs creates intricate and beautiful designs.

Ages 12-Adult
First floor Classroom! Pysanky eggs are a tradition in Eastern Europe. This batik method of applying layers of beeswax and dye to the eggs creates intricate and beautiful designs. In this workshop you will create up to 4 eggs depending on the intricacy, and learn about the symbolism of the designs and colors. Hot wax is used in this class. All materials are included in class fee.
