Remake Learning Days: Handmade Museum | Kids Out and About Pittsburgh

Remake Learning Days: Handmade Museum

*The event has already taken place on this date: Mon, 05/19/2025
Celebrate Remake Learning Days with arts and crafts inspired by our collection. Get ready to stitch, craft, and explore! Kids and families are invited to make and create with History Center educators during Remake Learning Days: Handmade Museum. Animal lovers and paw-rents are invited on a historic walk (no leash required!) throughout the museum to learn about the many ways HARP has contributed to the well-being of local animals and our community.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Inspired by the colorful quilts in the Louise Silk: A Patchwork Life exhibit, this drop-in program will offer two fun patchwork activities—one with real stitching for older kids and one designed just for younger makers (no stitching required!).

After making a mini patchwork masterpiece, participants are invited to explore six floors of award-winning exhibitions, including our newest addition, Pittsburgh’s Hidden History.

It’s all part of Remake Learning Days, an exciting global festival where kids learn through creativity, play, and exploration.

Come create with us—no experience necessary, just imagination!
