Summer Send-Off, the family event you won’t want to miss!
Summer Send-Off is free and open to the entire community.
The Sewickley Valley YMCA is hosting our first Annual Summer Send-Off on Saturday, August 14. Summer Send-Off is a free family event providing a fun-filled evening for children and families to celebrate the summer! Enjoy family swim in the Y’s Large Pool and bring a blanket or lawn chairs for an outdoor movie under the stars on the Sewickley Valley YMCA's Athletic Field. Fern Hollow Nature Center will provide outdoor games, and the Tull Family Theater will provide popcorn.
Summer Send-Off Activities
Family Swim
- Swim with your family from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Y’s Large Pool
- Registration is not required for Family Swim.
Movie under the stars
- Gather on the Y field to watch the movie Croods: A New Age and enjoy popcorn provided by The Tull Family Theater!
- Outdoor games provided by Fern Hollow, such as corn hole and giant outdoor connect four and Jenga, 5:30 -7:30 p.m.
- Families can bring their own picnic dinners. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted.
- Registration is not required for outdoor games or the movie.
This event is free and open to the community and YMCA membership is not required. Children must be accompanied by an adult and under adult supervision, including in the swimming pool.
