Prepare for a wild week of fun!
Art Campers will be thrilled as they take a walk on the wild side and spend a fun-filled week of furry, feathery, scaly animal adventures.
Adventure campers will design a jungle full of creations including an animal costume and mask, bird kites, clay animal critters, and life-sized creatures of the largest and smallest animals on the planet.
Our group will also experience mindfulness while learning animal behavior, discuss and connect to nature through ecosystems, write and illustrate an animal story and listen to guest artists share their love of animals through art.
Campers will learn about Tales with Tails which encourages children to read to a non-judgmental listener –a dog! Of course, Adventure Campers will get to interact with live animal visitors and their humans.
On Wednesday, July 11, we will take this fearless group out into the wilds on a field trip to Schantz Haus Farm where we will learn about the farm and its original owner, the founder of Johnstown, enjoy a hayride, picnic, and meet sheep, goats, chickens, and more!
Field trip: Schantz Haus Farm – Wednesday, July 11 – chartered school bus
