Audubon-Naturalists-in-Training (ANTS): Ages 13 - 18 at Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania
Our summer day camps balance exploration, nature play, and learning with games, crafts, science activities—and time to be a kid. Camps take place at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve (Fox Chapel), Succop Nature Park (Butler), and Buffalo Creek Nature Park (Sarver).
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Audubon-Naturalists-in-Training or ANTS, is for teens ages 13 – 18 who love to be outside and work with children. ANTS assist our Outdoor Discovery Camp staff in leading our day camp of nature exploration, trail hikes, games, and crafts for kids ages 5 – 12.
ANTS must attend this 1-day, 4-hour training course, and commit to a total of 30 hours of service during this summer’s day camps in June and July. Teens attend this ANTS training at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve regardless of which property they choose to work at for the summer.
