Investigate the diverse bird populations of Powdermill’s forests, fields, and wetlands. Hike to the avian research center to meet ornithologists and observe the bird banding process.

Visit the bioacoustics lab to hear and see bird calls.

Learn about current research at the flight tunnel, and develop an experiment to aid bird conservation.

Record your findings in a scientific journal, and practice identifying native birds throughout the week.

Explore birds from around the world, and their prehistoric relatives on an extended-day field trip to Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

Meets at Powdermill Nature Reserve. Day trip day to Carnegie Museum of Natural History: camp pick up from Powdermill at 6 p.m. Late afternoon snack provided.

The last day to register for this camp is July 9, 2018.
