Independent Lake Camp is a premier overnight summer camp in the Poconos for ages 6-17 offering an impressive array of activities rich with integrity due to top-notch facilities, and talented staff. Established over 30 years ago, ILC is dedicated to celebrating diversity, promoting creativity, and empowering individual growth with our individualized, elective scheduling. Campers will learn worthwhile skills in 2-8 week sessions while making everlasting memories & friends. Each camper chooses from: Circus, Trapeze, Sports, Fitness, Archery, Art, Theatre, Dance, Magic, Music, Recording Studio, Skatepark, Digital Arts, Moviemaking, RPG, Rocketry, Climbing Wall, High Ropes, Water-ski, Wakeboard, Lake, Pool, Horseback, Nature & more! Camp Hidden Meadows is an all gender overnight camp offering 1 and 2 week sessions for campers ages 7-17 in the beautiful Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia. One or Two Weeks of Sleepaway Camp provides campers with a lifetime of community, confidence, independence, friendships, and memories.

Beat the heat with a week ON THE WATER with kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddle boarding (SUP). Campers will focus on safety and skills on and near the water, including rescues (wait, how DO you get someone back into their boat without going in yourself?). You will gain proficiency in paddlesport technique and equipment… but mostly, you’ll just be cooling off on the waters of North Park Lake.

Creative Fun! Our 5-day workshops provide hands-on experience in a real theater. Under the guidance of theater professionals, each group creates, writes, produces, and performs their show on the last day.

 Venture Outdoors |
Take a DEEP DIVE into North Park Lake with a full week of fishing! Participants will learn to use and maintain fishing equipment, practice tying knots, making lures, explore aquatic ecosystems in the lake and creeks, identify fish species, and more. Campers will also enjoy time on the water kayaking.

POV – you’re in the woods with your fellow campers and everyone’s phone is DEAD. You’ll have to navigate using a compass (on land and while kayaking), build fires, filter water, forage food (and hang it in a bear bag!), construct a shelter, and survive until someone with a portable charger finds you. Campers will learn all the skills listed above while building relationships by completing a team survival challenge. You’ll do plenty of hiking and kayaking around North Park.

Participants will learn to use and maintain fishing equipment, practice tying knots, explore aquatic ecosystems in the lake and creeks, identify fish species, and more. Campers will also get to explore the lake on kayaks with our staff excursionists.

This is a specialty week that lets campers focus on the activity they love most! They will spend at least three hours each day in their program with opportunities to enjoy other activities as well. Program choices include horsemanship, riflery, camping, volleyball, archery, challenge course and crafts. It is best to register early as some of the programs fill up quickly! Campers also participate in a small group Bible study during the day. This is a great week of learning and growing!

 South Park Theatre |
This camp consists of 5 days of acting technique & fun theatre games with focus on monologue & audition prep, geared towards individual performance. It is geared to students between the ages of 6 to 13. Camp hours are weekdays only from 12-3pm. No prior acting experience is required to participated. This camp will utilize our outdoor and indoor performance spaces. The Showcase Performance is open to family and friends and will take place during the final day of camp.

Kids Creative Summer Camp at The Crafty Shack is all about self-expression, creativity and fun! During Kids Crafty Creative Summer Camp we will learn a variety of art forms, such as ceramic painting, canvas painting and more.

ASCEND's camps are designed to grow strong minds and bodies in our region's youth. Caring, experienced ASCEND counselors will guide children through fun and developmentally appropriate activities, such as bouldering, top-rope climbing, yoga, slacklining, and more!
