Join the National Aviary and Rivers of Steel for a birding experience like no other!
As Rivers of Steel’s Captain Ryan O’Rourke steers the Explorer riverboat along the banks of the rivers, the National Aviary’s ornithologist Robert Mulvihill will help spot river birds, such as cormorants, eagles, herons, mergansers, and songbirds during this three-hour birdwatching excursion.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
Birders are encouraged to bring their preferred binoculars, birding books, and any other equipment they would typically use for birdwatching. Binoculars are also available for use while on the Explorer riverboat.
